About SEOMasters.dev

We sell link data to people who would rather write a few lines of code than click through a suite. This page says what that means.

What we run

SEOMasters.dev offers a REST API and a free online explorer for backlinks, referring domains, anchor text, top pages and a 0-100 Domain Rating. Responses are JSON.

The data comes from our own crawler and our own link index, covering 181,132,097 domains and about 798.5 billion backlinks. We refresh it roughly once a month, and we say so on every page that shows numbers.

Think of it as an SEO tools center for developers: a shelf of endpoints, not a console. The credit budget page shows what a call costs.

Short on time? Read the next two sections and skip the rest.

What we are not

Not a rank tracker

We do not track keyword positions or search volumes. Ahrefs and Semrush do, and do it well.

Not a live feed

A link placed last week may not be in the index yet. Plan around a monthly rebuild.

Not a ranking promise

Link data describes a profile. It does not guarantee anything about where a page appears in Google.

What the index holds

181,132,097 domains, 2,774,625,913 domain-to-domain links and about 798.5 billion backlinks. Those are the figures as we have them, and they describe our index, not the whole web.

Every figure sits behind a refresh of roughly once a month. A site launched yesterday will not be in it, and a link removed yesterday may still be.

That matters for what you build. A monitoring product that promises minute-level alerts is the wrong use. A reporting product that explains a month of movement is the right one, and a cheap one to run.

Credit is prepaid, 1 credit equals $0.0001, and there is no subscription. Billing is explained on the budget page, line by line.

Who writes this site

The pages are written by the SEOMasters.dev editorial team. We do not publish personal bylines or testimonials, and nothing here is a customer story.

Examples are marked as examples. Prices and limits come from the product itself; if you spot a mismatch, tell us through the account page.

Start with the bulk DR script if you want to see the product at work.

How we want you to judge the numbers

Start with a domain you know well. Call overview, which is free, and see whether the referring-domain count looks plausible to you.

Then compare against another tool on direction, not on digits. Different crawlers see different slices of the web, so two honest indexes can disagree and both be useful.

Our DR formula is public: round(100 log(ref_domains + 1) / log(2 10^7)). You can recompute it in a spreadsheet, which is the best defence against a score you cannot explain.

Read the DR reference before you put it in front of a client.

Where to begin as a developer

Sign in with Google and copy your key from the account page. The $100 starter credit equals 1,000,000 credits and needs no card.

Next, pick the guide that matches your stack. Python batch jobs go with the bulk script, a Next.js dashboard goes with the proxy guide, and anything that misbehaves goes to the error table.

If you need keyword volumes, SERP tracking or a link alert the morning after a link goes live, use Ahrefs or Semrush for that part. The two approaches pair well.
